Stop and Smell the Roses with Sophie
Spend the day with Sophie Adamson, Australia's leading authority on David Austin roses and learn about these wonderful old varieties and how to cultivate them in your garden. Join Sophie for a tour of her nursery garden The Perfumed Garden, and wander through two hectares of landscaped gardens bursting with the last autumn flush of flowers, rosehips and the scent of heady perfume.
Then enjoy a gourmet picnic lunch with wine at Heronswood Garden and lecture by Sophie on roses and their companions.Join Clive Blazey for a leisurely stroll through Heronswood gardens before you leave.

Visit the Gardens in Spring 2009
The rose gardens are at their prime at this time of year. Visitors can view the flowering and growth habits of the David Austin roses in The Perfumed Garden. In The Roseraie, one can see earliest species of wild roses, through gallicas, damasks, albas, china etc to the modern hybrid teas. The gardens demonstrate a broad range of planting styles, structures, and combinations.
The display Gardens and nursery are open every day through-out the flowering season (Nov-May). Choose from over 200 varieties of Old World, Australian and other fragrant roses, including the entire range of David Austin varieties available in Australia.
